Video Brings District to Life for Prospective Superintendents

THE SITUATION

With a longtime Rancocas Valley Regional High School superintendent retiring, the school’s Board of Education tapped Laura Bishop Communications to assist in finding a successor. The challenge was to bring the school’s unique spirit and culture to life for prospective superintendents.

THE STRATEGY

Forgoing more traditional approaches, LBC produced a short, fast-paced video capturing the school’s personality, artfully incorporating footage of interviews with teachers and administrators with b-roll highlighting the school’s academics and vibrant student activities. The finished product was shared with all superintendent candidates.

THE WIN

A sampling of the feedback from several superintendent candidates who received the video speaks for itself:

“Thank you for the thoughtful and inspiring video message. It was a pleasure to hear directly from the leadership team and feel the genuine pride, passion, and sense of community that define Rancocas Valley. It’s clear that RV is more than just a school district—it’s a place with deep roots, strong relationships, and a shared vision for student success.”

“The video does an outstanding job of capturing the spirit and culture of RVRHSD. I found much of what was depicted in the video resonated deeply with my own experience and understanding of what makes a large, comprehensive public high school truly special.”

“Kindly allow me to thank you for that wonderful video providing insight into RVRHSD. The message was one of culture, collaboration, and showed a student-centered environment.”

“Thank you for sharing the video and for the opportunity to be considered for the Superintendent position. The presentation highlights what makes RVRHSD such a vibrant and student-centered community, and it further strengthens my interest in the position.”
