The LBC Brand Means Our Crew Becomes Your Crew!
LBC helps clients create and strengthen relationships through the power of communication.
In the process, we build genuine connections with our clients.

LBC delivers customized communications strategy and content, with the expertise to launch a major campaign as well as navigate a complex crisis.
Our services also encompass media relations, communications training, editorial services, internal communications, social media strategy, video, branding, and more.

The values that define our work

ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

Laura Bishop and Allyson Roberts met when they both worked at another agency. Allyson was at the start of her communications career, and Laura became more than her colleague as a mentor.
When Allyson moved on to university communications, she let Laura know she’d be part of her team if she ever went out on her own.
Laura did just that in 2011, launching Laura Bishop Communications as a solo enterprise with a handful of clients. Work grew steadily through referrals, and when Laura needed the Crew to manage, as she says, “a bigger boat,” she knew who to call. Allyson joined LBC in 2017.
The firm continued to blossom and now has enough Crew members to row a few boats, with teams throughout New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
In their current roles as CEO and President, Laura and Allyson are leading LBC in exciting new directions but remain rooted in the same approach of professional yet personable communications that connected them years ago!
The LBC Approach
Become part of each client’s team.
We get to know our clients, help them develop ideas, and work side-by-side until the goal is met. We’re not so much on call as on board.
Sprint at the start.
LBC creates a concept, strategizes the elements, thinks through the timeline and keeps things moving so no one’s forced to rush toward a deadline.
Extra, able hands.
What good is a great idea if no one has time to put it into practice? LBC brings the creative ideas and the legwork to make them happen.
Tone checks.
You know what you want it to say, but how do you want it to make people feel? We are always, always, always thinking of tone.
Punch it up!
When you are short on time, your writing is likely short on emotion. We amplify facts and figures with energy and compassion.
Outside perspective.
When you’re mired in the middle of it, you really need an outsider’s voice. LBC brings that and the expertise that comes from experience. It might be your first rodeo, but it’s definitely not ours!
