Ashlyn Welsh
Junior Graphic Designer
Ashlyn’s passion for design started early with cartoon sketches inspired by the TV show My Life as a Teenage Robot and the multimedia franchise Pokémon. She further unleashed her creativity with band, sewing, painting and more. In high school, she took her first graphic design class and was hooked on the prospect of making a career out of her passion for being creative.
Ashlyn worked hard to turn that possibility into reality; she waitressed through high school and community college and earned a scholarship to her dream school: The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. There, she dove deep into all forms of design, learning from exceptional mentors and drawing inspiration from the dynamic, gritty city around her. Ashlyn’s senior thesis, for which she wrote, designed and hand-bound her first book, solidified her love for print design and storytelling.

After graduation, Ashlyn interned at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, where she designed promotional campaigns to draw support for environmental conservation. This experience gave her new motivation to pursue design, with the realization she could use her talents to make a meaningful impact.
Today, as a Junior Graphic Designer at LBC, she is thrilled to work with a talented team that both inspires her and helps her further grow. And, the LBC Crew welcomes the fresh perspective and boundless enthusiasm Ashlyn adds. She dove into newsletter projects, flyers, social media graphics and more right from the start. In just a short time, she has become a valued member of client teams, consulting with account associates and managers to ensure her designs amplify key messages, align with clients’ brands and voices and overall create high-quality deliverables.
Affiliations & Education
While in university, Ashlyn had the exciting opportunity to work on school projects that connected her with real-life clients. A few of her designs even made it beyond the classroom and became actualized projects, including a logo and illustrations of some four-legged friends for Morris Animal Refuge’s 150th anniversary —an incredibly encouraging experience for her as a young designer.
One of her favorite college memories was visiting Pentagram’s headquarters in New York City. Standing in the same space as legendary designers, including Paula Scher, the first female principal at Pentagram, was a surreal and inspiring moment that fueled her passion for design.
Outside of Office
When she’s not at her desk designing, Ashlyn is likely spending time laughing with close friends and family or cozying up with a good thriller novel. She loves exploring new hobbies and interests, whether that’s photography, scrapbooking or wandering through her local pet shop to admire all the fascinating and fun critters.
